Casa Georgetti is the oldest colonial structure in the Rio Piedras county. It was built in 1868, when Puerto Rico was still a colony under the Spanish regime. Casa Georgetti was recently acquired as main offices for the .pr domain name registry. Simultaneous to the preparation of the structure to serve as office space, a restoration of the building paying special attention to its colonial architecture took place. Some of the restored features included uncovering the original brick walls, restoration of original colonial doors and restoration of the original balcony railings.
With this restoration, GRL Inc., hopes to contribute to the preservation of Puerto Rico’s cultural heritage. We hope our future generations may still enjoy the beauty of our historic structures for years to come.
